Scientific Programme |
The format for the meeting will essentially be similar to that of previous ICEEP meetings with some minor changes. We are extremely fortunate that Professor Tim Noakes, the eminent exercise physiologist has agreed to give an opening plenary address. The conference will run with full days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with a full days social programme on Wednesday. At this stage we are planning informal workshop sessions only.
Subject areas for which we are inviting abstract submissions will include the traditional 7 areas of:
• Applied Physiology • Biomechanics and Locomotion • Respiratory Physiology • Cardiovascular Physiology • Nutrition • Muscle • Biochemistry, Haematology, Endocrinology and Thermoregulation in exercise
However, in addition for ICEEP 8 we are inviting scientific abstract submissions on original research in topics related, but not exclusively limited to, equine exercise physiology, including:
• New Technology in Equine Exercise Physiology • Genetics of Exercise and Performance • Physiotherapy • Rehabilitation • Equitation Science • Drugs in Equestrian Exercise and Sport • Training
Each scientific subject session will begin with a review of the subject area by subject specialists invited by the International Committee and then a combination of oral and poster (oral) presentations. Posters will be displayed throughout the duration of the conference.
