Cape Town is consistently voted one of the top world tourist destinations and will also be hosting games of the 2010 Soccer World Cup in June/July 2010. Cape Town “must sees” of course include Table Mountain and Cape Point. But in addition there is the beautiful and recently developed Waterfront area with extensive shopping, restaurants and entertainment. There is also the opportunity to visit historic sites, including Robben Island,The Castle of Good Hope and District Six museum. Take very reasonably priced helicopter rides over the local area, visit the Cape Town Aquarium and go Shark diving.

Language
 
The most commonly spoken language in the Cape area is Afrikaans but English is universally understood.
 

Weather
 
The conference will begin with a very special welcome reception (absolutely not to be missed) on Sunday the 7th November 2010 at Spier and conclude with an exceptional Gala Dinner in an incredible location on Friday the 12th November 2010. The later date compared with the traditional August/September date was chosen to avoid the more unsettled and colder, wetter weather and also to avoid peak season to help minimise flight costs. In early November the monthly average rainfall is at its lowest (around 15mm) with average daytime high’s of 24°C and average night-time low’s of  13°C. Good sun-protection is a must at this time of year.
